Ranchi. Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi successfully hosted a one-day Capacity Building Programme on ‘Python (Basic)’ at its premises, aimed at enhancing the programming skills of educators. The session was conducted by experienced resource persons Mr. Ajit Kumar Singh and Ms. Priyadarshini Swain, who provided comprehensive guidance on Python fundamentals and practical applications. A total of 59 teacher trainees attended the programme with great enthusiasm and actively participated in the interactive sessions. The programme not only enhanced the participants’ technical skills but also fostered collaborative learning and professional growth.
On the occasion, Mr. Ajit Kumar Singh highlighted the simplicity and versatility of Python. He explained that Python, with its clear syntax and logical structure, is one of the easiest programming languages to learn and teach. He further pointed out that for educators, it opens up opportunities to simplify coding concepts and enable students to focus more on problem-solving rather than struggling with complex syntax. He also stressed that introducing Python at the school level would help in building a strong foundation for computational thinking.
Ms. Priyadarshini Swain underlined the practical benefits of using Python in classrooms. She mentioned that Python could be effectively implemented to design real-life projects and interactive exercises for students. She also observed that its applications ranged from simple programs to data analysis and AI, making it highly relevant in today’s world. She added that by integrating Python into teaching practices, educators could make learning more engaging, hands-on, and skill-oriented.
Principal Mrs. Manisha Sharma appreciated the efforts of the resource persons and the dedication of the teacher trainees, highlighting the school’s commitment to continuous professional development.
